What could we do to address the citation gap and cite more women?\u00a0
\n
From a knowledge ecosystem perspective, adding citations to women authors and to fields or academic sources that promote feminism or gender inclusive perspectives provides a foundation for further research on these topics. Additionally, a citation from a woman academic can help advance their careers, making it more likely they will be cited and improving academic recognition by improving academic impact metrics like AltMetrics.
\n
Furthermore, as\u00a0Art+Feminism Unreliable Guidelines highlights in the research, creating a more inclusive citation practice across reliable sources requires more active, informed conversations about sourcing. Modeling the use of reliable sources with a feminist perspective, and creating editing interventions that create space for literature representing women can greatly strengthen the case for changes on the wikis.
\n

", "display_name": "Text"}
