Climate mitigation (stopping use of fossil fuels) and climate adaptation (preparing communities for the changing world) are the two most important actions to take. While removing CO2 from the atmosphere and creating natural areas may help with climate adaptation, these are not the main changes we need in society. Natural areas are more important solutions for other environmental issues like biodiversity loss and water and air pollution.
