content"<p><strong>Adding sections, paragraphs and sentences with Gendered Perspectives.</strong></p> <p>Beyond adding citations to Women authors, giving voice and prominence to perspectives that empower and support women within pages that aren’t obviously gender focused, can both increase visibility of women scholars and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminist_theory" target="[object Object]">feminist scholarship</a>, provide outgoing links to gender-specific pages, and bring gender perspectives before broader audiences.</p> <p><a href="https://www.genderit.org/es/feminist-talk/la-brecha-de-genero-en-wikipedia-repensar-nuestras-intervenciones" target="[object Object]">In this Spanish Language post</a>, Evelin Heidel argues that we need to get beyond writing just women’s biographies, and in referring to Linda Nochlin’s Essay “Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?”, denounce the conditions that led to the poor documentation of Women Artists or other historical figures. By focusing on describing the systematic differences of those who don’t benefit from patriarchy within larger domains of knowledge, we create better conditions for seeing content about women across the wikis.</p> <p>The Spanish Language  campaign “¡<a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikiconcurso/%C2%A1Alto!_Mujeres_trabajando_2023/Premios" target="[object Object]">Alto! Mujeres trabajando 2023</a>” put some of this theory into practice. Throughout the campaign, the Organizer emphasized both the standard tactic of biographies of notable expert women alongside adding photography and discussion of women at work.
