<tbody> </tbody>
Part 1:
  • Based on your persona  that you created in Unit 3 and the themes you identified in Units 1 and 2. Identify an action and knowledge gap that you want that audience to take for a campaign on Sustainability or Climate change. To describe the action, include the following components:
  • What kind of Wikimedia content do you want your audience to improve? Why should they want to improve that content?
  • How big and what type of an edit is a successful edit? For example, do you want them to add a reference or image, a paragraph or write a full article? Why?
  • Write step by step instructions for identifying an article (either using an article list, tool or other method ) and contributing to the article.
Part 2:
  • Describe what kind of Campaign would you want to run with this audience? When describing the campaign, make sure to include the following:
  • Will there be one centralized activity or do you plan to make it decentralized? Which campaign type described in part 1 of this Unit is your campaign most similar to?
  • Do you anticipate other kinds of participants in the campaign besides those similar to your persona? Why or why not? Do you involve experienced editors? Do you need
  • Do you need to plan for supporting other local organizers? Why or why not?

After creating your own campaign activity, give feedback to one of your peers:

  • How could they improve the editing action that they describe? Would you find that action motivating? Does it feel impactful?
  • Do you think the campaign format would be best for the kind of knowledge gap that they identified? Why or why not? Would you recommend using a non-Campaign tactic for this knowledge gap?

You will get full credit for this assignment if you:

  • Create an editing action, with instructions to complete that action
  • Describe how that action would be involved in the campaign?
