content"<p>The Goal for this assignment is to discover unexpected content related to a Sustainability or Gender-related topic in your context. This includes doing four steps:</p> <p><strong>Step one:  Use the Language Agnostic list builder </strong></p> <p>First, using a country-specific articles from the forum post in Part 1 of this Unit, to do the following: </p> <ol> <li>Insert this article into: https://list-building.toolforge.org/ with the setting to return 100 articles in your own language.</li> <li>Copy and paste the “Starting query” url for your forum post</li> <li>Identify at least 2 articles that would be very relevant to improve or translate for people in your cultural context, and 2 articles that would be not very relevant for your cultural context. If you don’t have experience with the Query Service, we recommend using Petscan.</p> <p>Create a relevant list using PetScan or the Wikidata Query service. When creating the list: </p> <ul> <ul> <ul> <li>In Petscan use at least one of the features in addition to the category search in order to refine the list. Use either the Page properties, Templates &amp; links, or Wikidata tabs to refine a Wikidata or Category based list.</li> <li>In the Query service, refine your list with at least 3 Wikidata properties to narrow down your list to something manageable.</li> </ul> </ul> </ul> <p>Share a link to the query or result from Petscan (pictured below).</p> <p><span id="docs-internal-guid-770d9359-7fff-d356-1c54-401a5879a4ae"><span style="border: none; display: inline-block; overflow: hidden; width: 624px; height: 72px;"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/g9kdO_9nNAXM6vm3dsSR9bY6vjO-2v7MuaS7vXb-B6LoJ0Xzpn-csXANlLQn_HIlv0uZuNQc82uCtZGgclFH2ok676bLOuaKN-5uQqFKtMF22ZL0f7H3pLIuDi0xSY-ZBqgPEq6nptET3WSZ6Mk8gg" width="624" height="72" style="margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px;" /></span></span></p> <p>To copy the url from your Petscan query look for any of the blue links next to the “Do it!” button.</p> <p><strong>Step three: Share your articles from the two queries, and analyze.</strong></p> <p>In your forum post, make sure to include the following parts: </p> <ol> <li>First share the links that you copied from Steps 1 and 2, alongside the 2 prioritized and deprioritized articles from each query.</li> <li>In a short paragraph, explain why you choose to prioritize the 4 articles that you think would be good for your community, and why you would deprioritize the 4 articles that would not be good for your community.</li> <li>In a second small paragraph complete a reflection question: What surprised you about the kinds of results produced by the tools? Did you find content you were not expecting? Was one of the tools better than the other for producing a topic list for your topic? Would you prioritize using one of these tools over building a manual list?</li> </ol> <p><strong>Step Four: Respond to your classmates</strong></p> <p>Review at least one of your peers' lists. Consider describing the following about those lists in the forum: </p> <ul> <li>What topics surprised you on the peer’s list? </li> <li>From the articles that they prioritized for their event, is there one that you don’t think would be good for an editing event? Why wouldn’t you prioritize that?</li> </ul> <p><strong>Grading</strong></p> <p>You will get complete points for this assignment if: </p> <ul> <li>You demonstrate that you used the tools to create a list that is relevant to your cultural context</li> <li>You identify 4 good articles and 4 bad articles for your topics for impact event</li> <li>You complete two paragraphs describing why you chose the articles from the lists that you did.</li> <li>You respond to a classmates assignment.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p> <p></p>"
