content | "<p>The SDGS are structured around 17 high level goals that are meant to support each other in achieving a better vision for the future. Each goal has a clear public message, a series of metrics, and responsible agencies within the UN system for tracking and coordinating action on those goals. </p>
<p>Like other UN system goals, these are aspirations designed to instigate conversations between UN member states and other implementing parties, such as businesses, development organizations and other non governmental organizations.</p>

<li><strong>Nine targets</strong>, with areas of focus such as deforestation, land degradation and urban sprawl. For each of these targets there are several measures.</li>
<li><strong>Custodian agencies</strong> for each of the 9 targets, a UN Agency is responsible for tracking and encouraging progress.</li>
